She went on to attend Princeton University, where she learned Arabic and graduated with a degree in Near Eastern Studies. She then earned her MFA in Writing for Screen and Television from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts.

She is the writer of Emergency, a feature film that premiered at Sundance 2022 (based on the award-winning short with the same name), and the director/co-writer of Please Hold, which was nominated for Best Live Action Short at the 2022 Academy Awards.
